Nike Gives the Air VaporMax 2020 a Sustainable Makeover
Made out of 50 percent recycled material.
Shortly after unveiling its “Brushstroke” pack, Nike is set to drop a new iteration of its Air VaporMax 2020. Arriving in the colorway “Summit White,” the silhouette boasts a sustainable style that features the Swoosh brand’s iconic Air Max tech.
The sneaker‘s white upper is constructed out of 50 percent recycled material ranging from recycled bottles, to T-shirt and yarn scraps. The toe, heel and sole sport hits of pastel blue and purple hues, while the tongue features a multi-colored pattern. Instead of traditional laces, the pair comes with a FlyEase lacing system for an easier fit. Rounding out its design is the crystal-clear VaporMax cushioning unit made out of 75 percent recycled TPU.
Nike’s VaporMax 2020 “Summit White” retails for $250 USD, which will be available to cop via retailers like Asphalt Gold on August 6. In case you missed it, peep the label’s Air Max 97 in “White/Melon Tint.”
