RIMOWA Introduces New "Desert Rose" & "Cactus" Colorways for Essential Suitcases

Taking inspiration from the natural beauty of the Mojave Desert.

Following a coveted collaboration with Moncler revealed earlier this year, RIMOWA is now introducing two new hues to its collection of seasonal Essential suitcases. Taking inspiration from the colors of the desert, the new “Desert Rose” and “Cactus” additions are a combination of durability and natural beauty.

“Desert Rose” is a dusty pink shade reminiscent of the landscape of the Mojave Desert and its pastel-colored sunset. Meanwhile, “Cactus” is a deep khaki hue that is sampled from succulents found all over the region. In addition to RIMOWA’s Essential line, the two new colorways are also found on a limited-edition sticker set featuring thematic designs.

The latest release is available in three suitcase sizes, including the Cabin, Check-In L and Trunk Plus, as well as phone cases for Apple‘s iPhone 11 Pro. With stickers available for $50 USD, Groove phone case for $90 USD and suitcases priced from $640 USD to $1,020 USD, RIMOWA’s new Essential colorways are slated to arrive on July 16 at the brand’s stores in China, Hong Kong, Macau and South Korea, followed by a global and online release on September 3.
