Hunter Schafer Is Shiseido's New Global Makeup Ambassador
The ‘Euphoria’ actress lands a deal with the Japanese beauty brand.
Best known for her portrayal of transgender teen Jules Vaughn in HBO hit series Euphoria, Hunter Schafer has been named the newest global brand ambassador for Shiseido‘s makeup line. “We are so thrilled to collaborate with someone as creative, expressive and authentic as Hunter,” James Boehmer, the Global Artistic Director for Shiseido Makeup, speaks of the actress, model and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
In an Instagram post, the 20-year-old rising star expresses her excitement for becoming the new face of the Japanese beauty brand. “As someone who likes to to ‘draw on my face’ with makeup, I like how they treat makeup as a form of art,” Schafer says in a video, where she’s seen wearing a minimal yet avant-garde look created with Shiseido’s ControlledChaos MascaraInk and Kajal Ink Artist liner. “I think we both agree on using makeup, not to appeal to some [specific] standard, but to just bring how you feel outwards,” she adds.
Officially joining the Shiseido family, Schafer will make her first appearance in a brand campaign in 2021. Keep your eyes peeled for more from the Gen Z artist and the beauty company.
