Dearest Reader, 'Bridgerton' Is Set To Return on Netflix for Season 2
Are you ready for more of the Duke of Hastings and Daphne’s steamy scenes?
Netflix took to Instagram to officially confirm that one of the most-talked-about titles from its December 2020 lineup has been renewed for Season 2: Bridgerton. That’s right, fans of the Shonda Rhimes-produced drama series will be seeing more of Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Bassett, also known as the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page).
The announcement comes in one of Lady Whistledown’s “society papers,” stating: “The ton are abuzz with the latest gossip, and so it is my honor to impart to you: Bridgerton shall officially return for a second season. I do hope you have stored a bottle of ratafia for this most delightful occasion.”
The upcoming installment will bring back some of your favorites, including Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), Eloise (Claudia Jessie) and more. “The incomparable cast of Bridgerton will return to production in the spring of 2021,” the statement continues. “This author has been reliably informed that Lord Anthony Bridgerton intends to dominate the social season. I will have my pen ready to report on any and all of his romantic activities,” Lady Whistledown adds.
