Glastonbury Festival Canceled for the Second Year in a Row

Due to COVID-19.

Glastonbury, one of England’s largest and most anticipated music festivals, has been canceled yet again due to the coronavirus pandemic. Festival organizers Michael and Emily Eavis announced the news on Twitter. “…it has become clear that we simply will not be able to make the Festival happen this year. We are so sorry to let you all down,” their joint statement reads. Those who already paid a ticket deposit will have their admission rolled over to next year. “We are very confident we can deliver something really special for us all in 2022!” the post concludes.

Read the full announcement on Glastonbury’s official Twitter account, and stay tuned for word on whether the festival will pivot to a virtual platform.
