Converse's SS21 Collection Celebrates 130 Years of Basketball
Featuring the Chuck Taylor All Star, Pro Leather and more.
Basketball has been around for 130 years since its establishment in Springfield, Massachusetts. In celebration of this milestone, Converse has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2021 collection featuring signature silhouettes.
Highlights include the brand’s “Breaking Down Barriers” range, an homage to the Crispus Attucks High School basketball team who won Indiana’s basketball championship from 1954 to 1955. The pack consists of the Chuck 70 and Pro Leather dressed in the team’s colors.
Elsewhere, the “Then & Now” line honors the year 1971 when “Converse’s original canvas basketball shoe left the court and became a cultural icon; and 2019, when Converse stepped back into the game,” as per a press release. Finally, the “The Iridescent Pack” highlights the G4 Low and the All Star BB Evo.
