Black in Fashion Council To Showcase 16 Designers at New York Fashion Week FW21

The council is returning to NYFW to support emerging designers of color.

In partnership with IMG, the Black in Fashion Council will spotlight 16 emerging designers at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2021. Building on the success of the organization’s Fall/Winter 2020 showcase, the council will return to NYFW for four days with a discovery-oriented event featuring a range of Black-owned labels spanning womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories.

“Something that I’m personally passionate about is making sure that the next generation of designers has the support and resources that they need, specifically people of color creators in the industry really getting that access to resources,” BIFC C0-Founder Lindsay Peoples Wagner told Vogue, adding that efforts to support emerging designers are particularly important amidst the pandemic. “We want to think outside of the regular names and designers that are always listed or featured,” Co-Founder Sandrine Charles added.

The Black in Fashion Council FW21 showroom takes place from February 14 to 17 at NYFW. See below for a list of featured designers and brands.
