Yelp Unveils Lists of Standout Women-Owned Local Businesses
As part of its initiative celebrating Women’s History Month.
In celebration of Women’s History Month, Yelp has unveiled different lists spotlighting female-owned businesses under four categories: beauty, bookstores, food, as well as home and decor.
Since launching its Women-Owned Business attribute in partnership with Rebecca Minkoff and the Female Founder Collective in 2019, more than 280,000 businesses have adopted Yelp’s initiative. As a result, consumer interest in women-owned businesses has increased up to 2,739 percent last year. To further support local businesses in the United States, Yelp has narrowed down all the best establishments based on their national presence, average rating and review count, as well as recent inclusion in Yelp collections.
