Addison Rae Performs Viral TikTok Dances on Jimmy Fallon's Show but Doesn't Credit Their Black Creators

Twitter users quickly demanded the need for proper recognition.

Last weekend, TikTok star Addison Rae demonstrated eight viral dances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonHowever, during her performance, Rae failed to personally credit the original Black creators of all the routines.

The compilation includes “Do It Again” choreographed by @noahschnapp, “Savage Love” choreographed by @jasonderulo, “Corvette Corvette” choreographed by @yvnggprince, “Laffy Taffy” choreographed by @flyboyfu, “Savage” choreographed by @keke.janjah, “Blinding Lights” choreographed by @macdaddyz, “Up” choreographed by @theemyanicole, and “Fergalicious” choreographed by @thegilberttwins.

After the video went viral, Twitter users expressed their concerns on the matter and demanded proper recognition. “Stealing from Black entertainers and having white ‘creators’ regurgitate it to the masses is American history 101,” one user tweeted. Another one said: “I think Black creators should just stop creating content for like a good six months and just observe what these people come up with.”

In TMZ‘s exclusive interview with Rae, she gets questioned about her thoughts on the backlash: “I think they were all credited in the original YouTube post, but it’s kind of hard to credit during the show.” She continued: “But they all know that I love them so much and I support all of them so much. Hopefully one day we can all meet up and dance together.”

Representatives from Fallon’s show have not yet commented on the situation.
