COMME des GARÇONS Teams Up With MIKIMOTO for Another Jewelry Collab

Featuring seven new styles designed by Rei Kawakubo.

Following the success of their previous collaboration, COMME des GARÇONS has once again teamed up with MIKIMOTO for its second fine jewelry collection. Featuring a selection of seven new styles designed by Rei Kawakubo, each piece is crafted from White Akoya Mikimoto pearls and sterling silver accents like safety pins, fangs and studs.

“The value of traditional beauty held by Mikimoto Pearls combined with the completely opposite strength of chains was the design point of the first collection,” explains Rei Kawakubo, adding that for the second collection, “safety pins, studs and fangs, which express even more a strong image of rebellious spirit, are combined with Mikimoto pearls to make a single design. Two things that never exist together in a design becomes one design.”

The collaboration will be available at COMME des GARÇONS locations in Japan (Aoyama, Marunouchi, Kyoto, Osaka, Fukuoka), Paris and New York, as well as at Dover Street Market (London, New York, Los Angeles, Ginza and Singapore) and lastly at Mikimoto locations in Japan, Paris, London, New York, Costa Mesa, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. The luxury pieces retail between £3,100 GBP and £6,200 GBP ($4,325 USD and $8,650 USD).
