K-Drama 'Crash Landing On You' Is Receiving a Musical Adaptation

The hit series is taking to the stage.

Crash Landing On You, one of 2020’s biggest K-drama hits, is set to return as a musical performance. The show is reportedly scheduled to roll out in Seoul, South Korea around mid-2022. The upcoming musical will be produced by the companies T2N Media and Pop Music, which have been given global publication rights from Studio Dragon.

For those unfamiliar, CLOY rose to fame for its star-studded cast – Son Yejin and Hyun Bin (who ended up revealing to be dating earlier this year) – and heart-fluttering plot. The TV show follows the story of Yoon Se-ri (Son Yejin), a wealthy businesswoman who accidentally lands in North Korean territory after a paragliding trip. She runs into Ri Jung-hyuk (Hyun Bin), a high-class officer who tries to help find her way back home without getting caught by government officials. The show not only received some of the highest viewership ratings in Korea, but also marked one of the most-viewed titles on Netflix in 2020.

Roles for the musical have yet to be cast, but stay tuned as we learn more about the musical adaptation of CLOY.
