Cartier has unveiled a new bag set to become your next go-to accessory this spring. Dubbed the Double C de Cartier, the silhouette arrives in four seasonal colorways such as “Deep Black,” “Intense Red,” “Powdered Pink” and “Fuchsia Pink.”
“We sought to modernize the logo by freeing it from the interior oval, where it had previously appeared on the Maison’s bags. We handled it like a piece of jewelry, with particular attention being paid to its unexpected opening,” Cartier’s Director of Leather and Leather Accessory Creation Marlin Yuson said in a press release. “For the first time, its presence is both aesthetic and functional, not to mention the pretty click sound it makes when closed, further enhancing its jewel clasp,” Yuson added.
The timeless design features the house’s signature metal C logo enhanced by a delicate touch of lacquer. Available in a nano and mini version, both iterations can be worn over the shoulder or across the body. Additionally, the pieces are crafted from calfskin and boast gold finishes throughout for an added touch of luxury.
Priced at $15,400 HKD (approximately $1,980 USD) and $18,600 HKD (approximately $2,400 USD) respectively, the Double C de Cartier Nano and Mini will be available via Cartier’s website soon.
