Starbucks Japan Unveils Banana-Flavored Spring Drinks

Including a colorful new Frappuccino.

Starbucks Japan has announced two new spring drinks starring an unexpected ingredient: banana. Sure to entice intrigued customers, the Banana Almond Milk Frappuccino and Honey Oat Milk Latte pair the chain’s signature coffee blends with banana-flavored additions.

The new frappuccino is a sweet, caffeinated treat that blends banana with almond milk and roast coffee. The drink is topped with coconut oil-fried banana chips and a hefty serving of whipped cream. A warm offering, the latte mixes espresso and sweetened oat milk with honey cascara syrup. Sugar sprinkles made with banana extract garnish the beverage.

Starbucks’ banana drinks will be sold at the chain’s Japan-based locations from March 17 through April 13.
