Bottega Veneta Secretly Shows "Salon 02" Collection at Berlin's Berghain Nightclub

Bottega Veneta may have shut down all of its social media channels, but the house continues to create buzz in the fashion industry. Having launched its first-ever digital magazine last month, the Daniel Lee-helmed label secretly showcased a runway presentation at Berlin‘s iconic nightclub called Berghain.
Straying away from the traditional fashion calendar like many other designers, the new collection is a continuation of the Spring/Summer 2021 “Salon 01” show revealed back in December 2020. Although the lineup itself has yet to be unveiled, the presentation saw a star-studded guestlist captured in the German capital. Attendees include designers like Virgil Abloh and Stefano Pilati, as well as musicians Honey Dijon, Skepta, Slowthai and Burna Boy. Standout looks include a full matching red-and-blue set complete with the new The Point bag, as well as Abloh’s wide-leg trousers accessorized with a black beanie and a Louis Vuitton scarf.
Following the event, Bottega Veneta and Soho House have been facing backlash over hosting an afterparty despite strict lockdown measures in light of the ongoing pandemic. “We’re in lockdown in Berlin since November. Bottega Veneta has had a giant production at Berghain over several days (fair enough), but I keep hearing about after house and after-parties there and at Soho House,” Disruptive Berlin‘s founder Brenda Weischer commented. Many have been urging the brand to bring its social channels back to address the controversy.
