Following up on its hardware-embellished collection last year, Dion Lee has now returned with an equestrian-themed lineup for the Fall/Winter 2021 season. The virtual runway titled “Horsepower” explores the language of horses and breathing while focusing on the concept of strength and control.
As suggested by its name, the collection features an array of equestrian-inspired details reminiscent of saddles, bridles and blinders. Dion Lee’s signature corsetry is dominated by strappy leather pieces in the form of belts and harnesses, while looks are kept balance with ribbed knitwear. Standout looks are accentuated with curved cut-out details on layered bodysuits, long-sleeved tees and more.
Elsewhere, utilitarian outerwear takes center stage in waterproof canvas material along with shearling details. The theme is followed through a selection of cropped blazer and trouser sets with buckle and lace-up details. Each outfit is paired with six footwear designs created in collaboration with both, featuring heeled ankle boots, thigh-high boots and more.
