BTS Is Getting Even Hotter With Their New "Butter" Remix
Will this version break streaming records again?
Breaking streaming records across Spotify and YouTube, BTS has brought a new treat for all ARMYs – a “Hotter Remix” version of “Butter.” The seven K-pop members – Jungkook, Jimin, V, Suga, J-Hope, Jin and RM – teased the release with a series of images on social media this week.
Just like the original version, Jungkook opens the track: “Smooth like butter/Like a criminal undercover/Gon’ pop like trouble/Breakin’ into your heart like that.” Contrasting the initial track, the updated track features more electro-dance beats. In the accompanying music video, the musicians are seen dancing to the song.
BTS broke their own records with “Butter,” garnering over 108 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours and more than 20 million streams on Spotify within the first day. Coinciding with the launch, the septet dropped a fast food collaboration with McDonald’s.
