Melissa x Y/Project Finally Drop Collaborative "Jelly" Mules

Rococo-inspired designs first revealed on Glenn Martens’ FW21 runway.

After a grand reveal on the fashion brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 runway back in January, Melissa and Y/Project‘s collaborative “jelly” shoes have finally dropped.

The unexpected and nostalgia-evoking partnership takes inspiration from the Rococo period. Arriving in a low-heeled court mule silhouette, the eco-friendly style boasts three-dimensional glass-like textures throughout the upper. Offered in five colorways, each shoe is complete with a pointed toe. In addition, the collaboration features co-created slides covered with Persian rug prints.

“The disruptive quality of Y/Project‘s brand and design is Melissa’s greatest motivator in this new collaboration, given our history and devotion to innovating and setting trends since our first-ever collab with Jean Paul Gaultier in 1982,” Melissa spoke on the collection.

Priced at $250 USD and $98 USD respectively, the Melissa x Y/Project mules and slippers have released on the fashion brand’s web store and select retailers worldwide, with some styles sold out already.
