Tia Adeola's Planet i Collab Gives You Wings
The designer and eyewear brand deliver a collection of sunglasses ready to take flight.
Tia Adeola has debuted her first foray into eyewear, a collaboration with celeb-favorite sunglasses brand Planet i. Conceptualized during the height of Black Lives Matter protests in 2020, the duo’s capsule — titled “The Rise” — represents “ascending and conquering, rising above everything…and flying high,” as Adeola explains.
Rimless, mirrored lenses in three colorways (icy blue, pastel pink and silver) are cut to resemble feathered angel wings. Stainless steel hardware gives the streamlined silhouette extra shine. The winged sunglasses fit in nicely with Planet i’s wider range of statement-making styles, including glitter aviators and flame-shaped shades.
