Gucci Explores the World of Gaming With 100 Thieves Sustainable Backpack Collab

Limited to only 200 units.

UPDATE (July 20, 2021): Gucci has unveiled a numbered series of backpacks with Los Angeles-based apparel, lifestyle and gaming brand 100 Thieves.

“The collaboration draws on the shared values of Gucci and 100 Thieves, both companies passionately believe in diversity and self-expression, championing the importance of being able to hold a personal point of view without feeling limited by convention,” the house shared in a press release.

Limited to only 200 units, the silhouette comes in a striking red colorway with multiple pockets and a black leather trim. Elsewhere, the top of the piece features a circle black leather patch with 100 Thieves’ logo in silver. As part of Gucci’s sustainable Off The Grid initiative, the backpack is crafted from ECONYL® material made out of fishing nets, carpets and other scraps. In addition, you will receive your order in a box made from recycled paper.

Take a closer look at the piece above and watch the Guy Aroch-directed campaign video below. Priced at $2,500 USD, you can purchase the bag via Gucci’s website with your MY GUCCI account.

ORIGINAL STORY (July 14, 2021): Gucci is set to release a collaborative collection with Los Angeles-based apparel, lifestyle and gaming brand 100 Thieves.

For those coming across 100 Thieves for the first time, the Matthew Haag-founded gaming company won multiple esports championships over the past few years in Call of Duty, League of Legends and Fortnite. Taking to Twitter to reveal the team-up, 100 Thieves and the Italian fashion house will be dropping a range of sports garments such as jerseys, rugby shirts and zip-up hoodies. “Drawing on the shared values of freedom and self-expression, the house unveils its latest foray into the world of esports through a collaboration with 100 Thieves,” Gucci said in a statement.

The 100 Thieves x Gucci capsule collection will be available on July 19 for those with a MY GUCCI account. Stay tuned while we wait for official images of the range’s offerings.

In case you missed it, Gucci is still fashion’s hottest brand according to Lyst‘s latest quarterly fashion report.
