Willow Smith and Avril Lavigne's Pop-Punk Collab Is Here
A music video featuring the two artists is on the way.
Willow Smith just dropped her new album, lately I feel EVERYTHING, featuring the artist’s hotly anticipated track with Avril Lavigne. News that the duo were working on something together first broke in June, when Smith revealed the collab to V Magazine. Later that month, the two were photographed filming a music video together.
“G R O W” (WILLOW and Avril Lavigne feat. Travis Barker) is a pop-punk self-care anthem. “I’ve been putting work in, healing myself/Still got room to grow,” Smith delivers at the song’s open, set to up-tempo drums and guitar. “Every time I look at my face/I get up and feel like I lost my weight/’Cause no one ever truly knows just who they are,” Lavigne continues.
Though it’s unclear when the music video for “G R O W” will release, paparazzi shots from June gave fans a glimpse at what to expect. Smith and Lavigne were spotted in coordinating outfits featuring plaid pants, Dr. Martens and heavy chain jewelry.
