Kero x Acne Studios Drop FW22 Footwear Collaboration

Featuring the signature Sami beak design.

Just in time for rain and snow season, Acne Studios has joined forces with Swedish heritage brand Kero for the first time to debut a capsule footwear collection for Fall/Winter 2022.

Loved for its special craftsmanship, Kero’s famous Sami “beak” shoe is reimagined through Acne Studios’ lens. Thinking carefully about Sweden’s nomadic communities, creative director Jonny Johansson tapped into boyhood memories to reinvigorate the classic design.

“When I was growing up, my mum thought Kero shoes were really cool, so she made me wear them. I hated them at the time and was one of the only kids wearing them at school. Now that I’m older, I wanted to see if I could bring them into the Acne Studios world and play with this idea of heritage and roots,” shares Johansson in a press release.

The traditional Kero boot is made more dynamic and distinctive with its exaggerated beak and arrives in a slip-on, calf-high or knee-high boot for both men and women. The capsule also includes comprised of tall calf-high boots spliced with a warm shearling footbed for extra comfort. Elsewhere, statement-making white calf high boots steal the show as the footwear is studded with jeweled embellishments for extra flair.
