SZA Teases Music Video Starring Lakeith Stanfield

“Everything is energy.”

SZA continues to be booked and busy as the R&B songstress just posted a small tease of a short film on Instagram. The potential new music video also stars Sorry to Bother You‘s Lakeith Stanfield as the singer’s love interest. This is the first time the dynamic duo have worked together as Stanfield starred in SZA’s video for “I Hate U.”

The Instagram video showcases the actor discussing the properties of energy with SZA, who is rocking a Kill Bill-inspired look comprised of a ’60s hairdo with flipped edges paired with bright pops of yellow eyeshadow. When the conversation turns to the duo’s relationship status, SZA trades in her microphone for a gun and shoots their fellow diner.

“Shirt” directed by Dave Meyers premieres Friday, October 28 at 12 am EST. Take a look at the sneak peak below.
