The Hottest Bottega Veneta Bags Dropping Next Season
Meet the next generation of icons.
Bottega Veneta under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy continues to prove luxury is all in the details. Markedly simple at first, the range of pre-Spring/Summer 2023 bags are quiet masterpieces. The forthcoming collection follows the label’s popular “Swell” loafers debut — which we predict will have a hot street-style moment this season.
The range, which arrives a month after Matthieu Blazy returned to Milan Fashion Week to showcase his latest SS23 collection, blends Bottega Veneta’s signature cues with Blazy’s nuanced understanding of understated, timeless staples.
From elegant over-the-shoulder totes to mini chic padded classics, this pre-SS23 line-up has it all. Matthieu Blazy’s first bag for Bottega Veneta, the “Calimero,” arrives in the form of a silver intreccio leather bucket bag. The ever-loved “Cassette” padded shape sees a plisse update in a firey red.
Meanwhile, the signature “Cabat” silhouette is delivered in two new iterations, a small intreccio white handbag and a large tote in beige and aqua hues — both featuring a detachable strap for ease of wearing. The “Arco” shape lands in a mini baguette style. Elsewhere, the “Jodie” and traditional “Pouch” are substituted with new summer-ready silhouettes, yet to be named.
The news arrive shortly after Blazy announced a new warranty program for its handbags. Dubbed “Certificate of Craft,” the latest initiative from the fashion house offers a lifetime warranty to those that own a Bottega Veneta handbag.
The Bottega Veneta SS23 Pre-Collection will hit boutiques starting early next year.
