Eny Lee Parker Debuts "Soft & Sensitive (a love letter to me)" in NYC
An intimate exploration of aloneness and childhood nostalgia.
Luxury interiors showroom VERSO has partnered with Montreal-based lighting studio Lambert et Fils to host a series of exhibitions that spotlight independent designers’ work. For the first iteration, the creative duo chose New York-based rising star Eny Lee Parker to debut her first solo show, “Soft & Sensitive (a love letter to me),” at the L&F showroom in Tribeca, NY.
The show, which includes custom lighting installations by the Canadian brand, is an intimate exploration of inner healing through aloneness. “Soft & Sensitive (a love letter to me)” delivers a sense of nostalgia through furniture and lighting pieces reminiscent of Lee Parker’s favorite childhood silhouettes: stars, butterflies, and hearts. Bespoke pieces available to purchase include hand carved oak wooden stools, butterfly tables, star mirrors, bullet-hole heart vessels and more.
In the exclusive statement for the release, the artist commented, “As a kid, I drew these simple shapes as an innocent, comforting gesture, but it was around this time that my mom noticed my talent and encouraged me to keep going. It can take only one person to see something in what may be ordinary to others, and with love and support, you have the potential to turn it into something special. This collection celebrates that inner child, being gentle with ourselves, our growth, and the mistakes along the way.”
