Kehlani and Justin Bieber Collaborate on New Romantic Song, "Up At Night"
The lovestruck track is part of Kehalni’s forthcoming album.
Kehlani and Justin Bieber have joined forces on “Up At Night.” The single is part of Kehalni’s forthcoming album, Blue Water Road.
“It’s about having a healthily obsessed relationship. You’re telling someone, ‘I love you so much it keeps me awake at night.’ I love what Justin did, and it’s such a fun one to dance to,” Kehlani said in a press release. Both singers perfectly capture those strong emotions with relevant lyrics.
She sings in the first verse and pre-chorus, “You wonder why I love you, there was never pressure/ Easy as I want to, there’s just no one better/ You think it’s calculated, baby, I’m just not that clever/ Never/ And what could I say? I knew that it would go this way/ Or could you blame it on fate? I couldn’t let it just escape/ Now at the end of our days, I’ll run back thoughts of you.”
In a previous press release, Kehlani said Blue Water Road is a “destination in my mind.” Elaborating on the upcoming LP, she revealed she’s “giving everyone access. It’s an emotional journey, a sexual journey and a spiritual journey. To me, the album is like a glasshouse. It’s light, transparent and the sun is shining right through it.”
