Jason Momoa Shares an Update on His Relationship Status with Lisa Bonet
“We’re family forever,” says the actor.
Over two months after announcing their split, Jason Momoa is denying rumors that he and Lisa Bonet are an item again.
“We’re not back together,” the Aquaman star recently told Access Hollywood. “We’re family, you know? We have two beautiful children together. We’re not getting back together. We’re family forever.”
In January, Momoa and Bonet initially took to social media to share the news that they had broken up after 16 years together. “We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times … A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception … Feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring,” they said in a now-deleted joint statement via Instagram. “And so we share our family news that we are parting ways in marriage.”
The post continued, “We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy, but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become … Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life and our children. Teaching our children what’s possible. Living the prayer. May love prevail.”
