Gigi Hadid Gets Pearly for Her Birthday Bash
In true regencycore fashion.
This past weekend the iconic Gigi Hadid celebrated her birthday. On April 23, the model turned 27 at New York’s Zero Bond private social club. Gigi was seen dripping in pearls in a custom Dion Lee white lace look for the occasion.
However, the real star of Gigi’s regencycore look, were the pearl face gems placed around her eyes, matching her layered pearl necklaces. Crafted by celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta, the makeup look featured a black cat-eye, soap brows, and flesh-toned, matte brown lipstick. Hairstylist Laura Polko shaped Gigi’s platinum tresses into a slicked-back, low ponytail, with a clean middle part.
Continuing Euphoria‘s effect created by makeup artist Donni Davy, pearls have quickly become a polished take on the face and hair gem trend, with discussion-provoking takes from stars like actor Barbie Ferreira, who wore pearls in her hair for the 2021 Met Gala. With Gigi’s stamp of approval, pearl face gems are bound to continue to trend through the rest of spring and throughout the summer.
