Amina Muaddi Shuts Down Cheating Rumors With A$AP Rocky
Rihanna and her baby daddy landed in Barbados the day after rumors spread.
A tweet claiming that Rihanna broke up with A$AP Rocky after she caught him cheating with Amina Muaddi went viral just before the weekend. As soon as rumors started to spread like wildfire, the designer immediately shut down the false information saying they are “1 million percent not true,” as per TMZ.
“I initially assumed that this fake gossip — fabricated with such malicious intent — would not be taken seriously,” Muaddi said on her Instagram Story on April 15. “However, I’ve been reminded that we live in a society that is so quick to speak on topics, regardless of factual basis and that nothing is off-limits. Not even during what should be one of the most beautiful and celebrated times in one’s life.”
That same day, fashion influencer Louis Pisano, the person responsible for the viral tweet, issued an apology for spreading misinformation. “Last night I made a dumb decision to tweet some information I had received. I’m not going to talk about sources, blame others for a discussion that was started, etc because at the end of the day I made the decision to draft that tweet, press send and put that out with my name on it,” he wrote. “I’d like to formally apologize to all parties I involved with my actions and for my reckless tweets,” adding, “I have no excuse for it, I’ve been way too wrapped up in Twitter drama and unfortunately leaned into being messy as a brand which is something going forward I am going to move away from.”
While Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have not addressed the rumors themselves, the two were spotted at Grantly Adams International airport in Barbados on April 15. The Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty founder was seen in a multicolored mini-dress and high heels, while the rapper wore a white tee, tie-dye hoodie and matching pants.
