Zendaya Reveals She Won't Be Attending This Year's Met Gala, Again
Here’s why.
Zendaya has confirmed that she will not be making an appearance at the 2022 Met Gala. This will be the third year in a row that the actor will be missing the annual event.
“I’m sorry to disappoint my fans here but I will be working,” the star told Extra at Euphoria‘s For Your Consideration event on April 20. “Your girl’s gotta work and make some movies. So I wish everyone the best.” The actor added that she “will be playing tennis,” referring to her role in the upcoming film titled Challengers, which follows a group of tennis players taking part in the Grand Slam. “I will be back eventually,” she said.
The actor’s first Met Gala was back in 2015 when she stunned in a Fausto Puglisi dress. Her last Met Gala was in 2019, which followed the theme of “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” Zendaya showed up in a light blue Cinderella gown custom designed by Tommy Hilfiger.
