'Aquaman 2' Reportedly Fired Amber Heard and Will Recast Her Character
A spokesperson for Heard has denied the rumors.
Following rumors of her scenes being deleted from Aquaman 2, Amber Heard has not reportedly been completely cut from the upcoming film.
According to reports, the actor’s character Mera will be recast. “Warner Bros. decided to recast Amber Heard’s role after screen testing the movie. They are going to be doing reshoots with Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman,” a source shared.
However, a spokesperson for Heard has denied these claims. “The rumor mill continues as it has from day one — inaccurate, insensitive and slightly insane,” they said.
The news comes after Johnny Depp and Heard’s six-week-long defamation trial, which the 59-year-old actor won earlier this month. Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment are reportedly making an attempt to dissociate themselves with Heard due to the case.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is expected to hit theaters on March 17, 2023. Stay tuned while we wait for Warner Bros. to confirm more details about Heard’s involvement in the movie.
