Prince Harry Spills the Tea on *Those* Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Texts
Apparently, it is that deep.
One of the more surprising talking points from the recent Royal Family scandals include a series of text messages exchanged between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, about bridesmaids dresses for Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding.
There’s been a lot of speculation about what caused the fallout between Middleton and Markle, with this specific text chain being noted as one of the bigger causes. As a result, members of the public have long been wondering what exactly happened and finally, we know the deal.
Prince Harry detailed the exchange in his new memoir, Spare, which officially comes out today. According to the book, Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress was “not sufficient,” and was described by Middleton as “too big, too long, too baggy.” She then added that Charlotte “cried when she tried it on at home.”
Markle then allegedly replied, “Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am. Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?” Middleton then suggested all the dresses be remade, and spoke to her wedding dress designer, who agreed. Markle then questioned whether or not the Princess of Wales was aware of the drama surrounding Markle’s father, and as a result, the stress that she was under, which she didn’t seem to care about.
The exchange reportedly ended with Markle reiterating, “I’m not sure what else to say. If the dress doesn’t fit then please take Charlotte to see Ajay. He’s been waiting all day,” to which Middleton replied, “Fine.”
We’ve all been involved in the occasional text-based argument from time-to-time, and while this one seems no different to the usual friendship group chat argument, its effects appear to be pretty long-lasting.
