Rihanna Morphes Into a Y2K Bratz Doll for New Savage Fenty Campaign

And she delivered the look effortlessly.

If you didn’t know it by now, ’00s beauty trends are back and in full effect from makeup, nails and hairstyles. Let Rihanna‘s Y2K braids be a prime example if you need further confirmation of this.

In a photoshoot for her new Savage Sports campaign, the icon was spotted not only showing off her upcoming product line but her nostalgic baby braids were seen up close and personal. Rih’s hairstyle was a braided hybrid, serving major Bratz Doll vibes as hip grazing extensions were infused in her crown making the style fuller and larger. This specific moment the singer is rocking was huge in the early ’00s as those who wanted the look opted for face-framing baby braids as tendrils with either tinsel and other accessories fed in through their crimped or bone-straight tresses. To seal the deal on the overall serve, resident makeup artist Rihanna Priscilla Ona gave the star a head-turning beat — bringing the look in for a home win.

As the Super Bowl is a few weeks away, we’re all anxiously awaiting what glam moment Rihanna will give the masses. But for now, we’ll settle for this throwback look and try it on ourselves. Take a closer look ahead for more inspo.
