Lovehoney Study Reveals 90% of Men Can Find The Clit — Finally
With one-third of women struggling to label the vulva.
Sexual wellness company Lovehoney conducted a social experiment and asked 30 men and 30 women to draw and label the vulva. The research’s findings suggest the end to a horrible trend: men struggling to find the clit.
In its experiment, respondents were told to identify the following body parts: the clitoris, urethra, opening of the vagina, mons pubis and the labia majora and minora. Unsurprisingly, only 27% of men correctly labeled all six parts of the vulva. But surprisingly, 87% of men were able to correctly identify the clit — an age-long debate between cis men and women. 90% of men were able to correctly identify the vaginal opening, however, Lovehoney reminds us that that’s not groundbreaking as cis men associate it with their pleasure. Is it making sense why there’s an orgasm gap, now?

To our surprise, however, over one-third of women did not know their anatomy. As certified sex educator Javay Frye-Nekrasova stated, “All parts of the vulva can contribute towards experiencing sexual pleasure. It’s also important for hygiene purposes – if you don’t understand the different labias, how are you properly able to wash them?” Exactly.
As for men finding the clit… could this be the end of the orgasm gap as we know it?
