Rihanna Is Confirmed To Perform "Lift Me Up" at the 2023 Oscars

Happening on March 12.

It’s officially been confirmed that Rihanna will be performing at the 2023 Oscars.

“Rihanna will take the stage at the 95th Academy Awards to perform her Oscar-nominated original song ‘Lift Me Up‘ from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” the official Twitter account for The Academy wrote.

This will be the first time Rihanna performs at the prestigious awards show. It’s also the first time she performs at any awards show since the 2018 Grammys. Additionally, what makes this an even more special occasion is that it’s her first time being nominated for an Oscar. Rihanna received a nod for Best Original Song for “Lift Me Up.” The Chadwick Boseman tribute is up against “Applause” from Tell It Like a Woman, Lady Gaga‘s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick, “Naatu Naatu” from RRR and “This Is A Life” from Everything Everywhere All at Once.

The Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 12, at the Dolby® Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The Awards show will be televised live via ABC.
