Cecilie Bahnsen Presents Another ASICS Collab at Paris Fashion Week
Building on her upcycled designs last season to create an entirely new collaboration.
Cecilie Bahnsen has once again tapped ASICS for a new collaboration, but this time it’s even bigger than before.
Debuting the new release at her Paris Fashion Week showcase for Fall/Winter 2023, the lauded designer has lent an ethereal eye to one of the footwear brand’s most classic silhouettes, building on her upcycled pairs from last season with two fully produced pairs. The latest collaboration features two new colorways of the upcycled ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 9 running sneaker, arriving in a vibrant pink and light yellow alongside two new iterations in monochrome black and silver/white colorways.
The upcycled sneakers retain the shoe’s signature black, silver and white upper, with the addition of hand-encrusted flowers on the shoe’s toebox and heel, with each colorway featuring its signature hue in minimal accents across the sneaker and its midsole. Complementing the collection’s pastel color palette of cerulean blue, pastel lemon, magenta and poppy red, the delicate sneaker offers the perfect balance of bold and blossoming.
Elsewhere, the newly-designed shoe boasts a strappy silhouette, complete with a plush, padded strap and sheer, mesh-style panels across its upper.
