Karol G Is the First Female Artist to Score a No. 1 All-Spanish-Language Album on the Billboard 200
‘Mañana Será Bonito’ makes history.
Karol G has made history with her latest album, Mañana Será Bonito. The Colombian musician is the first female artist to score a No. 1 all-Spanish-language on the Billboard 200 chart.
There have only been two other all-Spanish-language albums that were No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and they were both Bad Bunny‘s (Un Verano Sin Ti, which dropped in 2022 and El Ultimo Tour del Mundo, which released in 2020).
Billboard has reported the following about Karol’s record: “Mañana earned 94,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending March 2, according to Luminate. Its starting sum was largely powered by streaming activity.”
Karol G’s latest LP is mainly Spanish with a few lyrics in English by Sean Paul on “Kármika.” In addition to Sean Paul, the album consists of 10 other features, including Shakira on “TQG” and Romeo Santos on “X Si Volvemos.”
