Get Your French Riviera Fix with Celine's "Plein Soleil" Summer Capsule Collection

French luxury fashion house, Celine, has teamed up with London department store, Harrods, to showcase its new summer capsule collection, Plein Soleil. The range takes inspiration from the laid-back yet chic lifestyle of the French Riviera and Saint-Germain-des-Prés — two places close to the heart of the Maison’s creative director, Hedi Slimane.
Plein Soleil features a range of hand-crafted pieces, including iconic lines, such as Triomphe, reimagined in fresh materials like raffia, wicker, Japanese indigo and striped textiles. The collection also includes new additions like a cognac suede saharienne and a weightless bouclette cotton chasseur jacket.
For those heading to the beach this summer, Plein Soleil offers oversized striped silk poplin boyfriend shirts, bikini swimwear sets and a Baja cape in striped woven cotton with the Celine signature. The accessory highlights include a raffia hobo bag with a calfskin Triomphe patch, a hand-woven wicker box bag, a drawstring bucket style, suede sandals, monogram espadrilles, sunglasses and jewelry.
The collection is complemented by Celine Maison Art de Vivre pieces, including a signature deckchair, hammock and a small racket set with a harness, all of which convey the scope of the Celine lifestyle. From May 17 to June 14, the Plein Soleil collection will be featured in a pop-up shop in Harrods’ ground-floor exhibition windows.
