Nigerian Label IAMISIGO Just Made a Major Debut at CPHFW

Presenting what the brand describes as “energy architecture.”

Slow design house IAMISIGO, with roots in Lagos, Nairobi and Accra, presented its Copenhagen Fashion Week debut today and already it’s one of the biggest highlights of the week. Presenting a slew of wearable art pieces, the brand describes its SS26 collection as “energy architecture,” treating the body itself as a “bio-electric landscape.”

With a commitment to textile preservation at its heart, each piece within the Spring/Summer 2026 collection was designed with an innate tactility developed through traditional African craft techniques. Texture sat front and center of the experiential showcase, soundtracked by natural sounds and the clinking of metals, accompanied by a surreal smokiness in the air.

Visually, the eclectic collection featured hair-like textures along with grass, tin and retro hairstyles, resulting in a fusion of traditional craftsmanship, The Wizard of Oz and at times, Jacquemus…
