Watch Jorja Smith's "Blue Lights" Music Video Here
Her debut album ‘Lost & Found’ is due out in June.
BRIT Award winner Jorja Smith has recently delivered a stunning visual for her soulful single ”Blue Lights” that loyal fans of hers have come to love. Lensed by photographer Olivia Rose in the R&B songstress’s hometown in Walsall, the vignette is fronted by an all-male cast which includes some local faces.
“I wanted to capture men/boys of Walsall and Birmingham from all different walks of life doing everyday activities to show that the stereotypes we are bombarded with are misleading and, ultimately, harmful,” says the 20-year-old singer, who got one of her first career breakthroughs when she appeared on Drake‘s More Life last year. She continues, “I chose Walsall as the setting for the video as that is where I am from and where I drew my inspiration from when writing the song.” Watch above to see the beautiful visual for yourself.
Post-Coachella, Jorja continues to go on her sold-out U.S. tour, which will be followed by a number of music festival stops in Paris, London, Tokyo and Berlin among other cities this summer. Her highly-anticipated debut album Lost & Found will also see its global release come June 8 — you may pre-order the record now online.
