A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Prada's Resort 2019 Collection

A ’90s affair.

Prada headed to New York to showcase its Resort 2019 collection this year. With most shows usually taking place in the label’s hometown of Milano, the NY showcase is not only a rare occurrence, but also a prime opportunity for celebrities and fashion enthusiasts alike to come and enjoy the show. Big names like Selena Gomez, Lilly Collins and Uma Thurman came together to see Miuccia Prada‘s collections, and it came as no surprise that the show was just as good as always.

Channeling a retro ’90s aesthetic, the collection sees bold graphic designs, prints and textures all in one, mixed and matched to create the perfect eye-caching look. Color blocked handbags and accessories were sported down the runway, as well as big and over-sized hats created from a textured jacquard material. Experimenting with color, detail and geometry, the collection was in true Prada fashion.

Take a look at our exclusive backstage images from the Resort 2019 collection in the gallery above, and don’t miss the label’s latest slingback pumps while you’re at it.
