Y-3 Releases Minimalist "All-Black" FW19 Campaign
The latest capsule features design cues from the brand’s archives.
Following up on the release of its Fall/Winter 2019 campaign, Y-3 returns to unveil another lineup of apparel. The latest campaign centers around themes of “contrast and duality.”
Worn in the imagery are pieces from the latest FW19 collection which features influences from the brand’s archives. Yohji Yamamoto fuses adidas pieces from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s with his iconic design language. The newest range is marked by the creation of minimal technical knitted dresses, sweaters with contrasting logo motifs and branded scarves.
Alongside the campaign imagery, Y-3 has debuted a first look at the brand’s newly designed Kyoi Trail silhouette. The trainer is a reworked edition of a classic trail runner. Specs include an upper created with heavy textile and leather paired with breathable mesh interiors. Rounding out the detailing is a thick collar and tongue paired with Yohji Yamamoto’s signature found on the side.
Y-3’s FW19 collection and the Kyoi Trail sneaker will be available on September 19 at Y-3’s website and select retailers. Take a look at the campaign in the gallery above.
