Social Status x Nina Chanel x Converse Drop Kamala Harris-Inspired Chuck Taylor All Stars
Encouraging U.S. citizens to vote on Election Day.
Ahead of U.S. Election Day (November 3), Social Status and artist Nina Chanel have partnered up with Converse to rework the Chuck Taylor All Star. Inspired by Senator Kamala Harris, Joe Biden‘s running mate, the silhouette comes with special graphic buttons that encourage U.S. citizens to vote and to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Arriving in a classic white, red and blue colorway, the sneaker features the year “2020” with a heart printed on the lateral in a navy blue hue. Interchangeable pins can be placed throughout the upper of the shoe according to the user’s preference.
Take a closer look at the design in the gallery above. The Social Status x Nina Chanel x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star is not for sale. Instead, the shoes have been donated to students at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina studying Solefood Digestible Sneaker Culture taught by Dr. Jemayne L. King.
