Netflix has officially resumed filming the fourth season of Stranger Things. While the series is still waiting for an official premiere date, the streaming giant has announced eight new cast members set to star alongside Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Caleb McLaughlin, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Winona Ryder and David Harbour.
Joining the Stranger Things family as regulars are Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco and Joseph Quinn, along with recurring actors such as Game of Thrones‘ Tom Wlaschiha, Robert Englund, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye and Nikola Djuricko. According to Variety, Bower will play Peter Ballard, “a caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital.” Franco will take on the role of Argyle, “Jonathan’s new best friend, a fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza.” Quinn will take the part of Eddie Munson, “an audacious ’80s metalhead who runs The Hellfire Club, Hawkins High’s official D&D club. Hated by those who don’t understand him – and beloved by those who do – Eddie will find himself at the terrifying epicenter of this season’s mystery.”
So far, Netflix has confirmed that Hopper is still alive and is being held prisoner somewhere in the Soviet Union. No other details about the plot have been revealed, so stay tuned while we wait for further updates. In the meantime, head over to Variety for more information about the new cast.
