Rudy Giuliani Is Melting — Hairdressers Say a Bad Color Job Caused the Mishap

Donald Trump’s personal lawyer suffered an amusing hair malfunction at a press conference.

From Mike Pence’s leaking red eyes to Donald Trump’s disastrous comb-over, the current administration has experienced its fair share of aesthetic misfortunes. The latest malfunction comes from Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s personal lawyer. During a press conference at the Republican National Committee headquarters, mysterious brown liquid began dripping down the side of the former New York City mayor’s face.

Unsurprisingly, social media quickly picked up on the mishap, turning it into a meme. One Twitter user, who tuned into Trump’s YouTube livestream of the conference, alleged that those running the broadcast mistakenly left their audio on and pointed out the blunder.

Observing that Giuliani began melting at his sideburns, viewers speculated that poorly applied hair dye was to blame. However, professional hairdressers told The New York Times that mascara or a hair touch-up pen was the more likely culprit. “Hair dye doesn’t drip like that, unless it’s just been applied,” David Kholdorov of Men’s Lounge Barbershop and Spa told the Times. Mirko Vergani, color director of Manhattan salon the Drawing Room, shared that stylists often use mascara to touch up sideburns, which are more gray than the rest of the head. “In the picture, it looks really heavy,” Vergani commented on a photo of Giuliani’s hair drip.  ”I am sure they put too much product and that is why it started to bleed.”
