Twitter Launches New Feature, Fleets, Allowing Temporary Tweets
Set your spur-of-the-moment thoughts free.
Much like Kylie Jenner, we’ve all impulsively shared a social media post only to delete it a few minutes later. Providing a new way to share those now-discarded thoughts, Twitter has launched a new feature, Fleets, allowing people to post temporary Tweets.
Essentially its own version of Facebook and Instagram Stories, Fleets are posts that disappear after 24 hours. They can’t be liked or retweeted, and any replies are sent privately via direct message. Users can create their own Fleets, or re-share an existing Tweet as a Fleet. In addition to text, photos and videos can also be posted as Fleets.
Twitter’s Fleets feature launches on November 17 at 8 a.m. EST.
