Fendi Crafts Glow-in-the-Dark Peekaboo Bag With Artist Sarah Coleman
A one-of-a-kind piece created for 2020 Design Miami.
Leading up to Design Miami/ slated to take place later this month, Fendi has tapped New York-based artist Sarah Coleman for a series of one-of-a-kind Peekaboo bags. Standing out among the limited collection is a glow-in-the-dark piece, arriving as the latest addition to the Italian house’s line of ISeeU bags for Fall/Winter 2020.
Marrying Coleman’s aesthetic with Fendi’s brand DNA, the collection features three styles of purses created by Silvia Venturini Fendi. An iconic yellow iteration sports embossed FF patterning, while an all-white Nappa leather design is adorned with phosphorescent beads that glow in the dark. Rounding off the range is a multicolored version arriving with a canvas base. In addition to the bags, the duo has created a concept for Design Miami/, which uses Fendi’s accessories and archival images to reupholster furniture.
