UPDATE (November 17, 2020): Ever since Netflix‘s The Kissing Booth 2 debuted back in July, fans have been itching to find out what happens next to Elle, Noah, Marco, Lee and Rachel. Thankfully, the movie’s star, Joey King who plays Elle, has revealed when the third part will be releasing. During her acceptance speech at the People’s Choice Awards for Comedy Movie Star of 2020, King said:
“I really want to thank all the people that voted… you guys. It’s so awesome that you guys voted for me. This year has been so weird. I’m not going to be the first person to say that tonight on this stage, but the fact that our movie and my character brought some laughter to everybody at home, that makes me smile. That makes me feel so good. That makes me feel so happy.
I told myself that if I won, I would share a very exciting piece of news with everybody, so I want to tell you that Kissing Booth 3, our final installment, is going to be released in summer 2021. I am so excited, I wish it was tomorrow! I really, really wish it was tomorrow. Thank you guys so much! Thank you for loving this movie, and loving this character as much as I do.”
The final part of the Kissing Booth franchise will see the return of King, Jacob Elordi, Joel Courtney, Meganne Young and Taylor Zakhar Perez. ”Although their paths are entwined, each has their own journey with a set of challenges that they need to overcome before closing the chapter of their lives that was adolescence and beginning their new journey into adulthood,” Director Vince Marcello told Variety.
