New Ranking Lists the 100 Best Ramen Shops in Japan

Tokyo’s Suginami district had the most mentions.

Ramen is one of Japan‘s crown jewels and, thanks to website Tablelog, we now have a ranking of the country’s 100 highest-rated shops specializing in the delicious noodle soup.

The website’s fourth iteration of its “100 Famous Ramen Shops” list, this year’s guide spans three areas of Japan: Tokyo, Eastern Japan and Western Japan. In Tokyo, 16 new restaurants made their Tablelog debut. Interestingly, the city’s Suginami district had the most mentions with 11 top-rated spots, followed by Shinjuku with nine. In Eastern Japan, ramen shops covered places including Hokkaido and Aichi while in Western Japan, 61 restaurants — mostly in Osaka —  made the cut.

Head to the Tablelog website to see its updated ranking of 100 Famous Ramen Shops.
