BLACKPINK’s Lisa Will Reportedly Launch Her Own Fashion Line

YG Entertainment filed a new trademark registered under the K-pop star’s birth name.

While BLACKPINK hasn’t released any new music since its Kill This Love EP, one of its members Lisa may have a new project in the works revolving around fashion. According to The Pop Hubthe K-pop star’s management YG Entertainment has filed a new trademark, registered under both of Lisa’s birth names — “Manobal Lalisa” and “Manobal” — as merchandising labels.

If approved, the owner of the trademark will have the rights to produce “outer clothing, ready-made clothing, underwear” and other garments. However, BLINKs were quick to notice that YG registered the labels under Lisa’s birth name and not her stage name. This, in fact, would result in Lisa not owning the legal rights to her own name for merchandising purposes and may encounter problems in the future if she were to produce original work of her own.

However, if this trademark was approved by Lisa herself, fans can expect great things from her upcoming line. Stay tuned while we wait for more details to surface. In the meantime, check out BLACKPINK in adidas Originals’ latest campaign here.
