Nike Upgrades Its Classic Air Jordan 1 High With Zoom Air Cushioning
Reminiscent of the upcoming Dior AJ1 high-top silhouette.
For those who can’t wait for the Dior x Air Jordan 1 high-tops to release, Nike is set to drop the classic silhouette in a sporty “Racer Blue” colorway this week. The Swoosh brand has given the iconic style an upgrade by replacing the traditional Air Sole unit with a full-length Zoom Air cushioning setup.
The sneakers feature pearly white leather toe boxes, along with soft grey-toned mudguards, eyestays, heels and midfoot Swooshes for an elegant contrast. The pair’s collars arrive in royal blue, overlaid with white mesh and additional blue trimmings. A small Zoom Air tag has been stitched onto the leather quarter, while the iconic ball-and-wings logo can be found right above. Rounding out the design are transparent outsoles featuring a vibrant red and blue gradient effect.
The Air Jordan 1 High Zoom in “Racer Blue” retails for $175 USD and will be available on Nike’s website on March 14. For more sneaker-related news, here’s a first look at the upcoming Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Caged.
